Slough were missing Adam Greener, with Danny Milton in the back-up goaltender slot, while the Bees were without the ill Martin Masa.
The visitors took the lead at 5.41 through James Galazzi but the home team continued their charge and with two minutes remaining, Mindy Kieras levelled the game.
The first of three power cuts plunged the rink into darkness with little over a minute remaining in the first period.
After a short interval, the players skated out, completed the period and then swapped ends.
Around the halfway point, Jets turned the screw and scored twice within a minute through Dan Davies and Kieras, who made it 3-1 at 30.40.
The Jets were thoroughly on top at this point as they outshot the Bees 38 to 22 in the second and third periods.
Another power cut at the start of the interval fortunately had little effect on the game and after 12 minutes the teams returned to the ice.
Doug Sheppard finished from Zach Sullivan at 43.35 and Joe Greener scored the game's final goal at 52.34.
The third and final power cut occurred in the final minutes of the match but Slough claimed the win to maintain the pressure on leaders Guildford.
The Jets return to the road this weekend with a trip to Milton Keynes Lightning on Saturday (face-off 7pm) followed by Sheffield Steeldogs on Sunday (face-off 5.30pm).
